STANDARD
You are wanting to hike the Fynbos Trail but need a break from preparing food and cooking? Let us transfer your luggage and spoil you with our delicious home cooked meals along the trail.From R 3 850 per person
If you just want to hike the trail with no frills, but have your meals and luggage transported then this is the option for you.
Experience the spectacular Walker Bay coastline including white sandy beaches, rocky cliffs, fascinating caves and a diversity of coastal and marine life. This option can be added on to the core trail or done as a stand alone hike.FYNBOS TRAIL PREMIUM
Guided, catered slackpacking
Note:
- We will be limiting bookings to 3 groups a week (Monday, Wednesday and Friday start dates).
- Minimum group size of 4 is required for this option during the week and 6 over weekends.
Three-day trail includes:
- Three-day guided walking trail with knowledgeable FGASA accredited guide
- One night’s accommodation at Fountain Bush cottage on Witvoetskloof and the second nights’ accommodation at Cone bush cottage on Witkrans Nature reserve
- All luggage transfers
- Two breakfasts, two, dinners and two lunches - all delicious home cooked meals
- An evening wine tasting of award-winning Lomond Wines
- Exclusive access to the Fynbos Trail through Walker Bay Fynbos Conservancy fynbos and forests

Itinerary
Day 1 which is a three hour walk that covers 6.6 kilometers from Bellavista Country House to Fountain Bush Cottage at Witvoetskloof. The trail meanders through an amazing diversity of habitats including coastal strandveld, enchanting milkwood forests, limestone and mountain fynbos. On arrival at Witvoetskloof you can put your feet up and relax or take a swim in the beautiful dam.
Price: From R 5 200 per person over weekend (or including Friday and Saturday nights)
Price: From R 4 850 per person during the week (Sunday to Thursday night)

Unguided, catered slackpacking
- Minimum group size of 4 required for this option and 6 over the weekends.
Trail includes:
- Three-day hike with exclusive access to the Fynbos Trail through Walker Bay Fynbos Conservancy fynbos and forests
- One night’s accommodation at Fountain Bush cottage on Witvoetskloof and the second nights’ accommodation at Cone bush cottage on Witkrans Nature reserve
- All luggage transfers
- Two breakfasts, two dinners and one lunch - all delicious home cooked meals
- Total hiking distance for standard trail is approximately 29 km

The trail meanders through an amazing diversity of habitats including coastal strandveld, enchanting milkwood forests, limestone and mountain fynbos. On arrival at Witvoetskloof you can put your feet up and relax or take a swim in the beautiful dam before enjoying a delicious home cooked meal.
Price: From R 3 850 per person over weekend (or including Friday and Saturday nights)
Price: From R 3 650 per person during the week (Sunday to Thursday night)
FYNBOS TRAIL BUDGET
Unguided, uncatered slackpacking
- This option is only available for select weekend dates and is not available over long weekends.
- Minimum of 6 people required and 8 over weekends.
Trail includes:
- Three-day hike with exclusive access to the Fynbos Trail through Walker Bay Fynbos Conservancy fynbos and forests
- One night’s accommodation at Fountain Bush cottage on Witvoetskloof and the second nights’ accommodation at Cone bush cottage on Witkrans Nature reserve. Both houses are fully equipped.
- All luggage transfers
- Total hiking distance for standard trail is approximately 29 km

On arrival at Witvoetskloof you can put your feet up and relax or take a swim in the beautiful dam. Cottage is fully equipped and ready for hikers to do their own catering. Firewood and a wood fired pizza oven and braai area available.

FYNBOS TRAIL COASTAL
Unguided, uncatered slackpacking
Note:
- Minimum group size of 4 is required for this option.
Coastal trail includes:
- Two days of guided coastal walking with knowledgeable FGASA accredited guide
- Two night’s accommodation at Casa d’Italo Guest House at Kleinriver Nature Reserve
- All luggage transfers and transfers back to the guest house at the end of each day’s hike
- Two breakfasts, two, dinners and two lunches - all delicious home cooked meals
- Permits for traversing Cape Natures Walker Bay Reserve
- A visit to the spectacular Klipgat Cave in Walker Bay Nature Reserve
- Total hiking distance for coastal trail is approximately 25 km
Arrive in the afternoon at Casa d’Italo Guest House for a welcome drink, trail briefing and settle into your accommodation. Optional self-guided walk on Kleinriver Nature Reserve. Dinner will be served at the guest house.
