Plant a tree
in our forest…
During the Fynbos Trail, you will hike through the Stinkhoutsbos Forest on Flower Valley Farm. This Afromontane forest has been severely impacted over the decades – from the harvesting of wood for furniture in past decades, to a massive wildfire that swept through the area in 2006. Despite this, the forest is home to incredible diversity, including Cape leopards.
That’s why we’re part of a project to restore the forest. You can join this restoration work by planting your own indigenous tree in the forest on your hike. It’s not only fun and rewarding, but you’ll be leaving your own very special mark on this forest for centuries to come.
